El Salvador, after beating the USA in a brilliant match, and Spain, despite their defeat, still have options in Cancun
Mexico made their CONCACAF champions breed and strength prevail against Spain, in a match in which everything worked fine for Ramón Raya and his lads, to see themselves in an excellent position regarding their chances to clinch the trophy in this Beach Soccer Worldwide Cancun Cup 2012. A dream three beginning minutes got the match quite unbalanced to the American side, with Rodriguez and the local star Ricardo Villalobos finding Dona’s nets twice. But the Mexican hammering would not stop at that point, and Mosco would add his name to the chart by widening the distance to 3-0 right before the first horn.
With all these problems, the afternoon looked anything but easy for Joaquín Alonso and his team. They were not only forced to fight against a really intense team, but also to survive under a noisy atmosphere created by the devoted Mexican crowd, who wanted to let the clearly know that they would not stop backing the ‘Tri’. But, Spain is also a hard-hearted team, and they would never give up without fighting, as Llorenç proved when cutting the distance to 3-1 in the last breath of the second period.
Notwithstanding, and regardless the Spaniards kept pushing, no more concessions were given by Ramon Raya and his team, exhausting the European expectations as the clock went on exhausting the remaining time. Before the final whistle, though, there was still a bit of room for Mosco to close the match in a brilliant way, when sending a scissor kick straight in for the final 4-1, a really prestige-earning result for Mexico against such a stripe-boasting team such as Spain.
