The first matchday of the competition had the 16 teams bringing on a great spectacle
The opening day at the Madjer Beach Soccer Cup, held in Figueia da Foz, put on a great beach soccer spectacle, with 16 teams from six different countries (both Under 16 and Under 18) competing simultaneously in three pitches.
American SoCal Legacy and ACD Sotão from Nazaré topped their group in the Under 18 following two big wins over Campus Ramiro Amarelle and AD Buarcos, whereas English side Isle of Wight BS and Italians Viareggio BS follow them.
In the Under 16 Division, results were tighter, with Campus Ramiro Amarelle, Obradoiro, Sotão and GD Ereira clinching the first wins.
This important youth beach soccer international competition will go on this Saturday, again with more than 200 athletes from six different countries around the world fighting on the sands of the beautiful Figueira da Foz beach, on an spectacle worth watching.
