Several wins in friendly games over the last weeks have the Iraqi jumping 11 positions
Some good performances over the last weeks, in which they have beat Lebanon on different occasions in friendly games, have given Iraq enough points to become February’s Movers of the Month.
While the main focus was place in the raod to the Mundialito de Clubes, the team coached by Karim Moghadam enjoyed some great time in Beirut, where the Iraqi took on the hosts Lebanon and won two of the three games held between the 18th and 20th of February.
These wins had Iraq climbing 11 positions in the Overall Beach Soccer World Ranking, going from the 80th to the 69th place.
In the upper part, Nothing moves in the top ten of the ranking, in a month in which no international National Team competitions have taken place.
Actually, we need to go to the fourteenth position to find the first move, with Nigeria leap-frogging two positions and overtaking Mexico and Ecuador in the rankings.
