Siofok will be the focal point of the beach soccer world as the European league finalizes the last spots in the Promotion Final and Superfinal

Hungary is now becoming a dream destination for beach soccer, as last year marked the first event in the country and this year the last group stage of the prestigious Euro Beach Soccer League will be held again in Siofok. The energy surrounding this event is so high that teams, players, fans, locals, everyone, can barely wait for the opening kick-off. The entire EBSL season comes down to this competition, all of the nations’ hopes for the postseason hinge on the outcome in Siofok. Teams not playing will be watching as well since they may be thrust into or dropped from the final eight that qualify, and the seedings for teams already qualified will undoubtedly change.

The spectacular show will begin on the 8th of August and finish on the 10th, with 12 teams participating, all with hopes of securing a spot in either the Promotion Final or Superfinal. There will be four teams from Division A, Germany, Italy, Portugal, and Ukraine, who will battle to determine the seeds and to see who will be booking their tickets to Torredembarra for the Superfinal. The Division B side includes eight teams, two groups of four, consisting of Group 1 and Group 2. Group 1 includes the hosts, Hungary, along with Andorra, the Czech Republic, and England. Group 2 has Austria, Bulgaria, Norway, and Turkey. Every team in Division B, they play in one event, has the chance to qualify for the Promotion Final.

Siofok has created heaps of beach soccer buzz this season as they also hosted the Hungarian Student Olympics, which included beach soccer in the competitions. The site is the MLSZ Beach Aréna Siófok and it is a great facility that is perfectly situated in the heart of Siofok and on the banks of a beautiful beach.
