The CFA Belt and Road International Beach Soccer Cup is ready for kick-off
Everything is ready in the Chinese resort of Haikou to see the first CFA Belt and Road International Beach Soccer Cup take off.
The BSWW Tour venue saw three of the teams take part in the official training sessions today, with Czech Republic, Hungary and hosts China getting ready to start fighting tomorrow.
Azerbaijan were the only ones not to test the sand at the Baisha Gate Park Stadium, as they are landing in Haikou just today. The Azeri have scheduled a soft training session tomorrow morning before the competition begins.
Hosts China and Czech Republic will kick start the party, squaring off in the tournament’s opener, scheduled for 2pm. The match will mark the first ever international game of the new China, coached by beach soccer legend Ramiro Amarelle. The Chinese National team has been training for some weeks now, the time comes tomorrow to put in practice everything that they have learnt.
Later on (3:15pm), Hungary and Azerbaijan will join, to complete matchday 1.
