La Celeste will begin preparation with its new coaching staff in the build-up to the continental qualifiers for the World Cup
The AUF Executive Committee has appointed Germán Parrillo and Leandro Ortiz as coaches of the Uruguayan beach soccer team.
Both professionals participated in a meeting with players, members of the Beach Soccer Commission, the representative from the Executive Committee of the AUF, Matías Pérez, the head of security, Rafael Peña as well as the nutritionist and psychologist of the national teams that manage the development department, Mercedes Rodríguez and María Noel Givogre.
According to the planning, La Celeste will begin the preparation of the South American Qualifiers for the 2021 World Cup in Russia this week.
As well as this, to increase the monitoring of players, the development of the Uruguayan League will be observed, scheduled for the beginning of next year.
Both Parrillo and Ortiz appeared as players and participants in five of the six World Cups that Uruguay have competed in (2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009).
