Great beach soccer action on display during the first stages of the competition in Virginia Beach
The NASSC US Open has kick started with exciting games a tones of beach soccer action here in Virginia Beach. During the first stage of the competition, many teams have already shown their international experience to claim wins that get them onto the second round.
One of the better looking teams is RWB, a team basically banking on the USA National Beach Soccer squad structure, with players such as Nick Perera, Oscar Reyes, Cris Toth or Lewie Valentine, amongst others. So far, the Francis Farberoff-coached side have claimed three wins in their first three games, just as Toronto BSC has managed to do, also with many players from the Canada National Beach Soccer Team in their ranks.
In turn, in groups B and C things are not that clear-cut, with Costa Rica National Team and Antioquia BSC still trying to make the most of their options to top Group B, and Maryzilians and Great Lakes Beach Soccer fighting for the head of Group C, both of them with 4 points so far.
Action does not stop at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront with 65 beach soccer games taking place simultaneously, hour after hour, involving players, boys and girls from all ages, ranging from the U8 division to the Over 40 one.
