After severeal site inspections, a meeting was held last week at FIFA headquarters involving FIFA, FIFA Beach Soccer and the LOC
There is no time to lose in the organization of the next edition of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, taking place in Tahiti next 2013. Just a couple of months after the closing ceremony in Ravenna, some representatives from FIFA and FIFA Beach Soccer proceeded with a new site inspection in the Polynesian capital hosting the tournament, and things are quickly getting shape in the showdown set up. To follow the thorough schedule, a meeting was held last week in FIFA headquarters, in Zurich, involving Joan Cuscó, FIFA Beach Soccer CEO and FIFA Board Member, Jaime Yarza, FIFA Senior Manager Futsal and Beach Soccer Competitions, Marco Schüepp, Beach Soccer and Futsal Coordinator in FIFA, Thierry Ariiotima, President of the Fédération Tahitienne de Football, Vairani Davio, President of the Tahiti 2013 Organizing Committee and Gabino Renales, World Cup Coordinator in FIFA Beach Soccer. The Beach Soccer stars Ramiro Amarelle, and Madjer, members of the Beach Soccer Task Force group in FIFA, took also part in the meeting.
During that, the main points in the first stages for the correct rooting and setting up of the venue and the competition itself were discussed, together with the Communication guidelines and other issues such as transportation, accommodation, etc.
These meetings, together with new site inspections and visits, will be happening every time more often in the upcoming months, so to secure everything follows the right path in the preparation of such a historic event.
