The Sicilian resort substitutes Valence (France) as the opening stage of the continental league
The kick-off to this season’s Euro Beach Soccer League has changed location. Catania, in Sicily (Italy) replaces Valence as the opening stage of the continental league . The dates will remain the same, though, beginning on Friday 20th and ending on Sunday 22nd of June.
This way, the Sicilian resort will get a double dose of top-class beach soccer this coming June, as it will host the Euro Winners Cup, with the champions of the different National Leagues across the old continent, three weeks before.
This first league event will feature two Division A groups, distributed as follows: Russia, Italy, Netherlands, France will go in Group A, whereas Switzerland, Poland, Belarus, Germany are in group B.
