San Felice Circeo (Italy), Berlin and Torredembarra (Spain) to set who gets into Superfinal & Promotion Final in The Hague
The core competition of the European Beach Soccer panorama, the Euro Beach Soccer League, is ready to have the party rocking again this summer in four different countries. The schedule is already confirmed for the most prestigious Beach Soccer contest in the Old Continent, with two new venues joining the continental showcase, and a restyled format to have all the top-notch squads beginning at the same time. The conditions do not change, though: Only the best 6 ranked teams after the regular stages will earn the right to try to dethrone Russia in the Superfinal, whereas the champions in Division B stages and the best-ranked seconds will be given the chance to fight the 8th team from the top group for a place in the European elite next season.
Again with 8 National teams in Division A and 12 National sides fighting in Division B for a chance to promote, the biggest novelty in this year’s season is a “double event” to open the competition. This first stage, happening from 8th to 10th of June, will have the eight top-flight teams playing in the League’s kick-off, split in two round robin groups. One of the traditional harbours of Beach Soccer, Italy, will host this special League event, bringing it to a new, bright location: the beautiful seaside resort of San Felice Circeo. This Mediterranean village, just 100 kilometers southwards from Rome, will see, then, the first side getting the ticket to the Promotion Final and the first Division A guys getting ahead in the table.
After the Italian stage, the competition travels again to a big capital, Berlin, with the Power Horse Euro Beach Soccer League Berlin 2012. The maiden EBSL Berlin 2011 last year left no doubt that beach soccer had found a new home, and the sport is more than happy to get back to such a trendy place as the German hotspot for the second league event, to happen on the first weekend in August (from 3rd to 5th). One more time, the excellent o2 World, by the Berlin Wall, will deliver the perfect scenery for the competition to bring the spectators an unforgettable experience.
For the EBSL third stage, Beach Soccer gets a new travel mate, with the Power Horse Euro Beach Soccer League Torredembarra 2012 running riot from August 17th to 19th, and opening a new thrilling door for the competition. Spain’s wish to be back on the League picture as a EBSL venue teamed up with the possibilities of the Catalan village of Torredembarra to deliver a great new setting for the competition. Close to Barcelona, and in the heart of the wonderful Costa Daurada, this seaside resort has been for many years a key destiny in the Catalan coast, and all its assets make it a perfect venue for an EBSL stage.
Once everything gets defined in Catalunya, the competition strolls to another of its lastly traditional headquarters, The Hague (The Netherlands), where things will get definitely defined from August 23rd to 26th. The Euro Beach Soccer Superfinal The Hague 2012 will single the best side in Europe out, as well as it will pass last sentence on who deserves to get into the best eight teams for the following season in the EBSL Promotion Final.
