Just as it sounds. 2015 will become the best year in the history of the sport, with two major events that will write a new chapter in our history, and will propel beach soccer to a new level.
After a 2014 of intense work behind the scenes, with the improvement of the laws of the game proving a wise decision, this 2015 definitely opens the door to one of the sport’s biggest dream: the Olympic Games. Beach Soccer feels stronger than ever to take on the challenge and storm into the first European Games, to be held in Baku in June, where it will claim its place not only as the most attractive modality within the FIFA family, but also as the fastest growing and most relevant of the beach sports.
As if that weren’t enough, this year will also bring us the eighth FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, to take place in Espinho (Portugal), in what becomes the return of the showcase to Europe after its delicious spell in Tahiti. Portugal and the FPF have been working hard since last year, and this 2015 edition will, for sure, make us experience new sensations, break new barriers, and accomplish new dreams.
But this is not all, as the regular season will keep shaping a thrilling and consistent yearly calendar, with the Euro Beach Soccer League walking to its XVIIIth edition, the fifth edition of the Intercontinental Cup, and many other events in the five continents.
All these would not be possible without your support, your trust and your passion. We are very happy to have you all by our side to walk this exciting path… Now we want you to enjoy a Wonderful Christmas because 2015 is going to be a year to be remembered… let’s keep making history!
