The Cuscatlecos prove they are much more than Frank and beat Venezuela (10-4) in a friendly match held in San Salvador
El Salvador Beach Soccer National Team proved yesterday they stay really tuned in this unforgettable year they have experienced. The last FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup semi-finalist beat easily (10-4) another of the participants in Ravenna, Venezuela, in a friendly match held this last night in the Centro Internacional de Ferias of the Salvadorian capital, el Salvador.
Rudis Gallo’s team did not miss Frank Velasquez’s skills on the sand, as the rest of his teammates got the job excellently done against the Vinotinto, who offered a good resistance during some stages of the game. The Venezuela had not flown to El Salvador to give up easily, but The Salvadorians offered their crow a brilliant performance, and the goals by the goalkeeper Eliodoro Portillo, opening the scoreboard, followed by Eder Ramos, Walter Torres (2), Agustin Ruiz (3), Tomás Hernández (2) and Elías Ramírez were a too-heavy weight to deal with for the South American side.
The President of the Republic, Mauricio Funes was the first of the supporters on the stands, and wanted to come to the sand after the match to greet the players, talk to the National Coach Rudis Gallo, and ask about Frank Velasquez’s surgery.
