The eight teams will be distributed in two groups for the sixth edition of the Dubai showdown
The sixth edition of the Samsung Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup Dubai inches closer, and the eight teams will get two know who are they to face in the group stage tomorrow.
This Tuesday, the official draw of the competition takes place at the Dubai Sports Council headquarters as of 11 am local time (7am GMT).
Hosts UAE, Russia, Brazil, Poland, Iran, Tahiti, Egypt and USA will be the teams taking part in this season’s event, with the Russians trying to defend the title they clinched in 2015.
Hosts UAE will be seeded as A1, whereas Russia, defending champions, will be seeded as B1.
Other restriction to be found in the draw procedure for the competition says that two teams of the same confederation cannot be drawn in the same group, therefore Poland will always go to group A and Iran will always go to group B.
