The two sides clashed in two friendly games over the weekend at Le Touquet (FRA)
Teams are speeding up their preparation for the coming European season, with training camps and friendly games scattered all over the continent.
One of those teams is France, who had been undergoing a training camp at Le Touquet-Paris-Plage, including two friendly games against neighbours Belgium.
Les Bleus, way more experienced, had no problem in bending the Belges in both games, held on Saturday and Sunday.
In the first game, braces by Bizot, Angeletti, Soares and Barbotti, put France in orbit, with Cianni, Drouillet, Gosselin and Grandon rounding a loud 12-2 win. Zoim and Belme capitalized Belgium’s shy reply.
In the second game, France kept marching past their neighbours, scoring three goals in each period for a total record of nine. Again, Angeletti and Bizot stood as the French top scorers, with two goals, accompanied by Soares, Grandon, Quaziz, Arini and Tillet.
De Meu and Gomes scored for Belgium, but the difference on the sand was too wide, with the final score standing 9-2.
