The team’s direction, with president Giuseppe Bosco ahead, are getting ready a very competitive team, lead by new coach Luca Della Negra, targeting to leave a mark in the Serie A and the Euro Winners Cup they will be hosting in early June.
First move by the Catanese was to recruit talent for their attacking line, signing Diego Maradona Jr. The son of the Argentinian legend was part of the Italian National side in the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cups of 2009 and 2008, having a key part in the Azzurri getting to the final of the global showdown. His performances in the Italian Serie A got him to be considered one of the most talented attackers in the Italian panorama.
Another of the players that made a bigger impact in the last season, Brazilian Rodrigo Soares da Costa, will be also a part of the squad, after having extended his contract with the rossoblu for the next three years. Currently scoring goals for the Verdeamarela in the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2015 – CONMEBOL Qualifier in Manta, the striker played a prominent role in Catania’s successful past season, and was one of the best players in the Euro Winners Cup.

Only time will tell, but what can be already given for granted is that Catania will be a very attractive side to watch.
