The FIFA Beach Soccer 2011 – Qualifier Casablanca will take place in the Ain Diab beach, from June15th to 19th
Africa is the next stop for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Ravenna/Italy 2011 train. The Ain Diab beach in Casablanca (Morocco) is the venue hosting the African Qualifier that will decide the two continental sides to get onboard. The tournament, to take place from June 15th to 19th, will follow a Round-Robin stage plus the play-offs, and only two teams will be graced with a berth for the Beach Soccer hugest festival happening in Ravenna by September.
The participating teams have not been confirmed yet, but everyone can bet on the presence of the all-time African superpowers of Nigeria, Côte D’Ivoire or Senegal, plus the northern powerhouses of Morocco or Egypt, who will fight for their chance to change the up-to-day established order, trying to snatch ‘The Green Eagles’ and ‘The Elephants’ the tickets to the biggest beach soccer party.
Only after the semifinals, we will get to know who the teams to travel from Africa to Ravenna 2011 are. The two sides reaching the final will join Italy, Russia, Ukraine, Switzerland, Portugal, México, El Salvador, Tahiti, Oman, Japan and Iran in the upcoming FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2011.
