The award is a recognition for the progress made in developing beach soccer
The International Sport Press Association (AIPS) and the Unione Stampa Sportiva Italiana (USSI) held yesterday a special celebration, EuroStart, to mark the beginning of the UEFA Euros 2021.
During the evening, Beach Soccer Worldwide president Joan Cuscó was awarded for his commitment and progress in the development of beach soccer on an international level. Gianfranco Coppola, president of the USSI, presented the award.
“I am very thankful and honoured to have received this recognition by such prestigious entities as AIPS and USSI, and I want to share it with all my team at Beach Soccer Worldwide and everybody involved in beach soccer, as making our sport grow is very much a team effort, and everybody in the beach soccer family plays a great role“, Cuscó said.
Many personalities of the Italian sports sphere were present at the celebration, including FIGC president Gabriele Gravina and the former president Antonio Matarrese, as well as other top executives of sports organisations and institutions such as Coni President Giovanni Malagò, Undersecretary for Sport Valentina Vezzali or the President of Sport and Health Vito Cozzoli.
