The NBSL’s Valentine Player ID Cup was played at Fort Lauderdale Beach this weekend
It was a blue weekend in Florida as both the men’s and women’s blue teams won their divisions of the Valentine Player ID Cup at Fort Lauderdale Beach.
The competition was organised by the National Beach Soccer and featured many players from the men’s and women’s national teams.
Head Coach of both the men’s and women’s US beach soccer national teams, Francis Farberoff, was at the event scouting for the USA’s latest beach soccer talent ahead of the coming season.
The teams were organised by colours: NBSL Pink, Yellow, Green, Blue, and players from all over the country, including California, Virginia and Michigan were present.
US beach soccer international Gabriel Silveira lead the blue men’s team to victory, and his inspired performance saw him collect both the MVP and Top Scorer awards. Jose Sorto won Best Goalkeeper and Martin Grimson took Rising Star award.
The Women’s Blues was led by Ashley Tripplet, who won the MVP, and the Top Scorer went to Karina Cisneros. The Best Goalkeeper was Vanessa Osorio and Braeden Small won the Rising Star award.
