DKV Joventut Badalona, one of the most important basketball teams in Europe and former Continental Champions, included beach soccer in their training schedules this week. The whole squad went to Badalona’s beach for a physical session, adding several Beach Soccer matches to boost fun as well as exercising. This is not the first time, and it will not be the last, that a professional sportsman or woman, or a top level team dives into beach work to improve their performance.
Many physical trainers, such as Joventut’s Dani Moreno, trust in beach training as the best way to strengthen joints and improve muscular power. As reported some weeks ago, Leonel Messi also flies to the beach to shorten the recuperation periods when he suffers an injury.
