FIFA courses and seminars keep seeding different territories worldwide, fostering the sports growth
The grassroots efforts for the Beach Soccer growth keep blossoming in different parts of the world. During last months, different territories in Africa have been hosting FIFA courses and seminars aiming at laying the foundations of the sport within their boundaries. 2011 ended with a coaching and refereeing course in Uganda, with Oman National coach Thalib Hilal and Nigerian FIFA instructor Sunday Okayi lecturing more than 60 participants. During first months of 2012, UAE National coach Marcelo Mendes teamed with Okayi for two more courses, beginning in Zimbabwe, with the introduction of Beach Soccer in schools and the transmission of the main guidelines for the sport’s fostering, to be immediately followed by a third one in South Africa, held last February.
After that, Eddy Rose and Lakhdar Benchabane conducted another course on Coach and Referee formation in Mauritius, accompanied by a Beach Soccer festival goaling at the launch of a National Beach Soccer in the Island.
The job done in Africa, though is not over for the upcoming months, as a fourth FIFA course is to take place in Ghana, confirming the continent as one of the main flourishing spots for Beach Soccer formation.
Even though, Beach Soccer seeding and cultivation is something that goes beyond any sea, any ocean and any border. Two far destinies such as Central-Europe Poland and American Costa Rica are to become two new harbours for Beach Soccer FIFA courses for these upcoming weeks before summer.
