Only Albiceleste and Tri have secured two wins at the Eliminatorias CONMEBOL al Mundial de Fútbol Playa de la FIFA – Asunción 2017.
Argentina and Uruguay clashed in a new “Clasico del Río de la Plata” with the albiceleste prevailing this time for three more points that leave them at the top of the table in Group A of these Eliminatorias CONMEBOL al Mundial de Fútbol Playa de la FIFA – Asunción 2017.
As expected, the game was packed with fight, intensity and drama, and despite Argentina leading for long periods, Uruguay came very close to upsetting the 2013 South American champions…
In Group B, Ecuador added three more points to their counter, too, following a narrow win over debutants Perú. La Tri knew perfectly well how to manage the 2-0 advantage they secured in the first period, and had the Peruvians swimming upstream for the rest of the game.
This win has Ecuadorians heading group B with four points, although Brazil did not play today.
Just below those two, Colombia could finally earn their first points in the competition, following a hard-fought win over Venezuela in the opening game of the second match day at the Eliminatorias CONMEBOL al Mundial de Fútbol Playa de la FIFA – Asunción 2017.
After seeing how their two reactions were worth nothing in the game against Ecuador yesterday, the Cafeteros managed to command the game against the Vinotinto as of the first break despite Vaamonde’s opener for Venezuela.
In turn, Chile forgot about yesterday’s bitter defeat to Argentina with a stout win over Bolivia. La Roja was again the solid and efficient side they are well known for, and sealed a convincing win with a great performance in the third period.
