A second balanced victory for Brazil carries them to Portugal

The Brazilians and Hungarians dueled again in Budapest in the second of two friendlies before the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup

Tune-ups for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup are common place leading up to the spectacular event and the Brazilian National Selection again defeated the Hungarians on Saturday, June 4, in the second friendly match between the teams, both at the MLSZ Arena in Budapest. The second triumph was by a score of 9-2, and it had the striker Rodrigo, only 21 years old, as top scorer of the match with three goals.

 

Brazil finished their preparations for the FIFA World Cup Portugal 2015 with a flurry of exhibitions and clearly, goals. On this day, the Brazilian team, led by coach Junior Negão, again was victorious over Hungary, this time at 9-2. There were three multi.goal scoers; Rodrigo with 3, Catarino had 2, Jorginho netted 2 as well, and then Bokinha and Mão had one each. A day earlier, the Brazilians defeated the hosts by a score of 9 to 4. Brazil already has their bags packed for the World Cup and continuing their tour as they will arrive in Portugal on the 8th of July.

 

 Brazil can almost always be considered a favourite and this year is no different, specifically after how well they have played leading up to the World Cup. The coach heaped praise on his side, saying, “I was very pleased with the way we played, playing the ball and occupying the spaces. This team is has a well defined identity, and that is now being shown. We leave Hungary with a more than positive balance on offense and defense to go along with two wins and, most importantly, with an efficient and convincing brand of beach soccer.” The confidence of the team is evidenced also by the great play of the young 21 year old Rodrigo, and they will need that extra boost when they start their pursuit for a fifth World Cup on July 10th against Mexico.
