The Promotional Poster was unveiled this afternoon at the Nassau National Beach Soccer Arena
With just 30 days to go, even more excitement is building in the lead up to the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Bahamas 2017 set to kick-off April 27, and preparation is gearing up in Nassau as the Host City transforms for the tournament.
To mark the beginning of this 30 day countdown, the FIFA Beach Soccer Promotional Poster was presented at the National Beach Soccer Arena at Malcom Park. The poster perfectly reflects all the individual elements offered by The Bahamas that will make the competition a specia event both on and off the sand.
With the country’s national team at the forefront, along with the Official Match Ball adidas Praia, the competition will be played against the backdrop of the traditionally Bahamian architecture. The Atlantic Ocean and the diverse nature compliments the backdrop, showcasing to guests the picturesque setting for the tournament.
Flamingos, Blue Marlins and the World Famous Swimming Pigs are among the impressive creatures that inhabit the warm Bahamian environment, while palm trees will provide shade for players and spectators alike when this beach soccer showcase arrives in Nassau. Along with the Promotional Poster, the Winner’s Trophy has begun making the rounds throughout The Islands of The Bahamas, the Official Song Pure Good Vibes is dominating the airwaves, and in the next few days the entire city of Nassau will be dressed in the Official Look of the tournament.
According to the tournament’s Local Organizing Committee Chairman Jeffrey Beckles, there is a lot more excitement to come for beach soccer fans. “Over the next few days there will be a transformation of the stadium and the city. All roads will lead to the National Beach Soccer Arena at Malcolm Park. Soon teams from all over the world will begin to arrive in Nassau to prepare for the biggest beach soccer event in the world. We want to start spreading the excitement locally and globally now at the 30-day mark,” Beckles said.
President of the Bahamas Football Association Anton Sealy is encouraging all Bahamians to get in the spirit of the tournament, which will attract thousands of visitors to the country. “Let’s all get ready to welcome the world to our beautiful country for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Bahamas 2017 and show them that we know how to put on a world-class event. We’re just 30 days away from kick-off, and we’re asking you to wear your Bahamian colours and your warmest smiles as all eyes will be on us during the exciting event. It’s not too early to start preparing,” said LOC Chairman Anton Sealey.
