A victory over Ancora ensured an end to Tau Tau’s losing run in the competition’s final.
Tau Tau are Mozambique’s beach soccer champions for the first time after beating Ancora 3-1 in the final of the Copa de Futebol de Praia on Sunday.
After three consecutive defeats in the final of the competition, Tau Tau finally got their hands on the national title, having initially got past Pescas FC in the semi-finals.
Ancora won through 4-3 in their final-four meeting against Polana Caniço, but then fell short in the final with Tau Tau coming out on top in a close-fought contest.
