It is with great sadness that the world of beach soccer says farewell to Senegalese goalkeeper Abdoul Samba
The Senegalese national team goalkeeper, Abdoul Samba, has sadly passed away.
The 24-year-old attended training in preparation for the 2019 FIFA Beach Soccer World in Paraguay on Monday, but died not long after.
The exact cause of his untimely death is still yet to be confirmed.
Tributes have been paid across social media by fans and teammates alike, and the young keeper will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
Fellow Senegalese goalkeeper, Al Seyni Ndiaye, shared a touching post on Instagram, consisting of a montage of photos of the two players together, adding: “Champion, I cannot find the words. You will always be in our hearts.”
