The Hungarian National Team came, saw and conquered the Cup in Linz, where the Euro Nations Cup was held last weekend. The Magyar confirmed they are a team in process of growing, and got the best sensations for next week’s promotion attempt in Lisbon, where the Superfinal and Promotional Final are taking place.
Hosts Austria reached a place in the final after beating eastern neighbours Slovakia (3-2), but the Magyar strength was too much for them. An impressive 0-9 run by Hungary crushed all Austrian hopes after the initial 2-0 by Markovic and Gahleitner.
In the battle for the third place, Czech Republic gave Slovakia no chance (6-2).
