Brazil and Paraguay to square off for the cup

Two new wins have the Verdeamarela and the Pynandy fighting for the CONMEBOL Liga Evolución trophy

The Women’s National Teams of Paraguay and Brazil will play this evening for the first CONMEBOL Liga Evolución de Fútbol Playa, taking place at the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Stadium in Luque (Asunción), following two new big wins yesterday over Argentina and Chile. 

In the first game of the day, the Brazilian National side run past Chile, sealing a 9-1 win to secure three new points. Barbara Colodetti starred once again for the World Beach Games Bronze medalists, scoring three goals. Lorena Medeiros, another of the Brazilian stars added two more, and Jasna Nagel, Danielle Barbosa, Nayara Couto and Silvana Souza rounded the score. 

Paraguay, in turn, inflicted Argentina a tough punishment, too, making things very clear with a 10-2 win. Joana Galeano’s poker was the highlight for the Pynandy, with Griselda Garay (2), Gloria Saleb, Noelia Jara, Marlene Cáceres and Natalia Barros adding their names to the scorer’s chart.
