Players and officials had a fun and eventful morning with disabled children at the outset of the event
Like spaghetti and meatballs, beach soccer and volunteering in the community go hand-in-hand, and this weekend in Siófok, Hungary highlighted that union even more. There were players from the participating teams in this Euro Beach Soccer League 2015 Group Stage as well as beach soccer officials took the time to train and run a clinic with local handicapped children. The players helped the kids learn some of their moves and flicks, while also playing in a very heated but friendly match.
Hungarian goalkeeper David Ficsor was one of the players who showed a great amount of enthusiasm due to his love for helping and he went on to say, “I think this kind of event is very important because we get to be out there with the kids and teach them while also helping. Beach soccer is one of those sports that you can do that with, it is a perfect fit for the children and for us.” The goalie has taken part in these kind of events all over the world and this one was made that much more special because it was in his home country.
The Beach Soccer Foundation was created to help foster knowledge about our environment as well as help promote health all over the globe and the Foundation has happily incorporated local communities to assist in many ways. The Head Coach of Hungary was also present and he stated, “We want to come to these activities, we love to come and help the kids, but the most important thing is joy. The enjoyment of the kids and that makes us happy.” All of the Foundation work has helped people from every corner of the world and will continue, stay connected with www.beachsoccer.com for future events and news.
