A busy beach soccer weekend ahead…

Three beach soccer tournaments will take place simultaneously this weekend in Morocco, Hungary and Brazil

Beach soccer has a hectic weekend ahead, as a range of competitions get underway on three different continents.

There are no less than three beach soccer tournaments being contested this Friday to Sunday (12th – 14th July) in Morocco, Hungary and Brazil.

The Clubs Challenger Cup, which is the only club competition, sees four South American teams come together in the Brazilian city of Sao Sebastiao. The clubs taking part are: Club Cerro Porteño (Paraguay), Club Libertad Asunción (Paraguay), CR Flamengo (Brazil) and Club Atlético Rosario Central (Argentina)

At the same time, more than 7,000 km away, four national sides are arriving in Agadir, Morocco. Oman, Algeria and Netherlands will take on their Moroccan hosts in a Round Robin system to see who will lift the third edition of the Morocco Beach Soccer Cup 2019.

In Europe, the fourth edition of the Talent Beach Soccer Cup Hungary will bring together the U21 squads of the Hungarian national side together with three visiting nations from across the continent: Czech Republic, Poland and Spain.

In this event the rising stars of our beautiful game get to experience a top-level beach soccer event in one of Europe’s most important beach soccer host nations.

On top of all that, just days after these three tournaments finish, the European Qualifier for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup kicks off in Moscow, where five European sides will make up the 16 participants in global showdown, which will take place in Paraguay later this year.

As well as that, next Thursday (17th July) sees the ribbon cut on a brand new and ground-breaking competition, the Neom Beach Soccer Cup.

This event in Saudi Arabia is especially significant as its backdrop is the futuristic city being built in on the vast desert sands of Arabia, and beach soccer will be one of the inaugural sports to test its facilities and introduce the project to the world.

Strap yourselves in, because this new era of beach soccer is just getting started.
