La Pirraya, Salvadoran national champions!
Led by Cuscatleco International Ruben Batrés, the red side bent Frank Velasquez’s Barra de Santiago in the final
La Pirraya bent Barra de Santiago to prevail in the Salvadoran National Beach Soccer Championship final thanks to a tight 6-5 win at the Costa del Sol stadium.
With a stunning performance, Batrés lead the way for La Pirraya, not only scoring four goals in the final but also driving crazy the Barra de Santiago rearguard. José Maravilla and Exon Perdomo completed La Pirraya’s scoring chart.
Instead, Carlos Segovia, with a brace, Yosimar Martínez, Ever Ruiz and Frank Velásquez scored for Barra de Santiago.
Besides being the key man for his side in the final, Rubén Batrés, with 28 goals in the season, was the best player in the competition.
In the game for the third place, El Espino edged Metalío to bag the bronze.
