The Memorandum of Understanding was signed, seeking the most solid base for the continuous growth of beach soccer in Asia
The preliminary agreement signed between Beach Soccer Worldwide and the Asian Football Confederation was officially ratified this weekend, through the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding, held in Ho Chi Minh (Vietnam).
The signing of the agreement was attended by Zhang Jilong , AFC vicepresident, Dato’ Alex Soosay, AFC General Secretary, Joan Cuscó Beach Soccer Worldwide Executive Vicepresident, Jaime Yarza, FIFA’s Senior Manager of Futsal and Beach Soccer Competitions and Alex Soriano, Beach Soccer Worldwide Director of Communications, amongst other AFC representatives.
This agreement is to be understood in the framework of the growth Beach Soccer is experiencing in Asia, which has become one of the most reliable stages for the sport. With the signing of this Memorandum of Understanding, together with a solid beach soccer panorama in the region, featuring the Samsung Intercontinental Cup (already scheduled annually until 2017), the biannual Asian Beach Games, FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Qualifiers and many other events coming soon, the floor is firmer than ever as there is more and more evidence of the the great health that beach soccer is showing in the region.
