The competition takes place from the 22nd to the 25th May
The Euro Beach Soccer League 2025 will kick-off in the El Puerto de Santa María in the Cádiz region of Andalucía, as men’s and women’s European national teams will compete for glory at the incredible Real Plaza de Toros from the 22nd to the 25th May.
Division A, Division B and the Women’s Euro Beach Soccer League action will take place, as the Women’s EBSL will get proceedings started on 22nd May, with Division A and Division B beginning on the 23rd May, with high-level matches expected from start to finish.
Gabino Renales, Deputy Vice President of Beach Soccer Worldwide, was joined at the Real Plaza de Toros by Germán Beardo, Mayor of El Puerto de Santa María and 4th Vice President of Diputación de Cádiz, Gorka Lerchundi, General Director of Events and Sports Facilities, Pedro Curtido, President of Real Federación Andaluza de Fútbol (RFAF), and Isabel Sánchez, General Secretary for Sports of Junta de Andalucía.
Gabino Renales, Deputy Vice President of Beach Soccer Worldwide, was extremely excited about the Euro Beach Soccer League 2025 starting in Andalucía and focused his attention on the quality of the competition.
“We are overjoyed and feel very grateful to be hosting the first stage of this year’s Euro Beach Soccer League in El Puerto de Santa María.
“On behalf of Beach Soccer Worldwide, it’s a great feeling for us to be bringing another beach soccer competition to Cádiz following the recent success of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2025 – European Qualifier, which we hosted in October last year.
“We’re sure that this will be an exceptional competition and we can’t wait for it to get started.”
Germán Beardo, Mayor of El Puerto de Santa María and 4th Vice President of Diputación de Cádiz, emphasised the importance of this event, which places El Puerto de Santa María on the international sports calendar and strengthens its ability to host large-scale events.
“For El Puerto, it is an honour and a privilege to host an event of this magnitude. Transforming our Plaza de Toros into the stage for the Euro Beach Soccer League is a testament to our commitment to sports as a driver of development, tourism, and international recognition.”
Isabel Sánchez, General Secretary for Sports of Junta de Andalucía, highlighted the significance of hosting the event and looked forward to future sports events in the region.
“International beach soccer returns to Andalucía after the Mundialito 2023 in Ayamonte and the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2025 – European Qualifier in Cádiz. The hosting of this championship, which will feature the best men’s and women’s national teams in Europe, once again demonstrates the Andalusian Government’s commitment to sports and promoting the region, with a clear focus on attracting major national and international sporting events as economic drivers, while also encouraging local sports participation.”
The Euro Beach Soccer League is organised by Beach Soccer Worldwide and has the collaboration of the Department of Culture and Sport of Junta de Andalucía, the City Council of El Puerto de Santa María, Diputación de Cádiz, and the technical support of Real Federación Española de Fútbol and Real Federación Andaluza de Fútbol.
