UAE, IR Iran and Oman qualify for the quarter-finals
Group C
UAE registered their second victory in Pattaya to confirm their place in the AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup 2025 quarter-finals, with a 6-1 win over Indonesia. UAE captain Walid opened the scoring inside the opening three minutes of the match as Rashed, Rashid and Ahmed Beshr hit the back of the net and Abdulla scored a brace, with Indonesia’s only goal coming from Pradik in the second period.
IR Iran completed a sensational group stage victory against Afghanistan, making them the second nation to qualify for the quarter-finals out of Group C. Mirshekari and Shirmohammadi both found the net three times each in the fixture as IR Iran built on their strong 12-2 win against Indonesia on Matchday 1.
Group D
Vietnam moved up to two points in Group D with a 4-2 extra-time win over Bahrain at the AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup 2025. It was the nation’s first ever victory in the history of the competition with Ngoc Bao and Van Manh scoring for the Vietnamese side, as Phat Dat netted their second goal and the eventual match winner.
Oman booked their place in the last eight after winning 6-3 against Malaysia. Masoud broke the deadlock in the match for Oman, as Mushel struck and Al Muraiki and Al Araimi both completed braces.
