Cagliari BS top the group
On the final day of Group A action, Cagliari BS defeated São Pedro BS 5-3 in Alghero. Pisa scored a hat-trick for the Italian team in the fixture, as her team secured top spot in the group, whilst their opponents from Brazil finished in second place.
Saki shines as Lazo progress
Lazo won 7-3 against Marseille BT, to finish top of Group B. Saki’s hat-trick for the Japanese team drastically helped them to progress into the semi-finals in top spot, as Marseille BT failed to make the final four.
Group stage glory for Mriya-2006
To bring Group C to a close, Mriya-2006 beat Barra de Santiago 7-3. The win for the Ukrainian side meant that they finished in first place in the group after winning both group games, as defeat for Barra de Santiago resulted in them not advancing into the semi-finals.
