Group A
Italian side Lokrians Beach Club faced their first test in Nazaré with the home crowd cheering on Nazaré opponents ACD O Sotao.

Group B
The reigning champions, WFC Zvezda suffered an intense defeat in their first match against French side, Stade de Reims.
It was a tight match, which took a long time to see the first goal, but the French just edged the Russians with a late goal from Gomes, who completed a brace. This was their first defeat in the competition since losing to England’s Portsmouth here in Nazaré two years ago.
The victors will face CFP Cáceres Femenino tomorrow for the chance to seal the top spot, while Zvezda will play them on Wednesday.

Group F
The women’s Euro Winners Cup was kicked off by Lady Grembach EE Lodz (Poland) and Fundacio Terrassa FC 1906 (Spain) with an extremely tight match which looked to be heading to extra time.
