Movement in the National Teams ranking following the May 2025 update
The Beach Soccer Worldwide National Teams ranking for May 2025 has been released, marking the mid-year update following the thrilling conclusion of the Beach Soccer World Cup in Seychelles. This latest ranking reflects the impact of recent performances on the global stage, with significant movements in both the men’s and women’s rankings.
In the men’s ranking, Brazil remains untouchable at the top of the rankings, with Portugal climbing one spot to second place. Italy dropped one position to third, while Belarus climbed two places to fourth position. Senegal made an impressive leap, rising three places to seventh, showcasing their growing prowess in the sport. The UAE, however, dropped three places to 10th, and Switzerland fell three spots to 14th, reflecting competitive nature of the rankings.
On the women’s side, Spain continues to dominate at the top, cementing their place as the leading women’s beach soccer nation. Ukraine maintains its position in second place, while Portugal holds steady in third. England, however, slipped one position to fifth, and the Bahamas dropped two places to 13th, highlighting the dynamic nature of the game.
