Poland win 9-2 against Belgium.
The Women’s Euro Beach Soccer League regular phase kicked off in Andalucía, Spain, with a commanding display by defending champions Poland as they overpowered Belgium 9–2 in Group B. Poland wasted no time asserting their dominance, opening the scoring in the very first minute through Szpera following a defensive lapse. Bednarska doubled the lead moments later, and Gozdek added a third as Belgium struggled to settle. Szpera then capitalised on another Belgian error for her second goal before completing her hat trick to give Poland a commanding 5–0 lead at the end of the first period.
Belgium found some rhythm early in the second period when Cagla converted a penalty to make it 5–1. However, Poland was quick to respond. Bednarska added her second of the match with a sharp finish off a rebound, restoring the five-goal cushion. A long-range effort from Poland’s goalkeeper Banaszkiewicz, helped into the net by Matusiak, extended the lead to 7–1 with two minutes remaining in the second period.
Belgium managed a second goal early in the final period via a well-placed header from Henrotin. But Poland remained relentless. Sudyk punished another defensive mistake to make it 8–2 before Banaszkiewicz struck again from distance to seal a dominant 9–2 win.
Spain win 4-2 against Ukraine.
Hosts Spain began their Women’s Euro Beach Soccer League campaign with a thrilling 4–2 comeback victory over Ukraine in the opening Group A match. It was an evenly contested first period, with Ukraine striking first through Klipachenko midway into the period. Spain responded quickly, as Jessi finished expertly at the near post to level the score at 1–1 by the end of the period.
The second period remained goalless, marked by tight defensive work and evenly matched exchanges, setting up a tense and decisive final period in front of the Spanish home supporters.
Ukraine reclaimed the lead early in the third period when Dubytska found the net to make it 2–1. But Spain kept their composure and struck back midway through the period as Andrea Mirón fired in a stunning acrobatic effort to bring the match level again. With just a minute remaining, Manau’s powerful header edged Spain in front, and Sara Tui followed up with a composed finish to seal a 4–2 win for the home side.
