DIVISION – A

Group A
Spain win 15-3 against Georgia.
In the second Group A fixture of the day, hosts Spain put on a sensational display against Georgia. The first period was relatively quiet, with Kuman scoring the only goal to give Spain a narrow lead heading into the second.

The second period saw a dramatic shift in momentum. La Roja exploded with five goals in just the opening two minutes, eventually netting seven in the period. Ramy got on the scoresheet, while Chiky Ardil, Gatica, and Suli Batis each grabbed a brace. Georgia managed to respond with a goal from Shamiladze but trailed heavily at 8–1 going into the final frame.

Spain showed no signs of easing off, firing in seven more goals. Chiky Ardil and Ramy added another brace each, while D. Ardil, Galindo, and Antonio rounded off the scoring. Georgia managed to net two late goals, but it was mere consolation in a one-sided 15–3 Spanish victory.

Ukraine win 3-2 against Germany.
Division A action kicked off with a thrilling Group A clash between Ukraine and Germany. Schulte struck first for Germany, taking an early lead and maintained their 1–0 advantage through the end of the first period despite Ukraine’s attacking efforts.

The second period saw Germany double their lead when Peterson found the net, putting Ukraine under more pressure as they struggled to convert chances.

But the tide turned dramatically in the final period. Ukraine mounted a remarkable comeback, with goals from Samoilenko, Voitok, and Zborovskyi completing a 3–2 turnaround, punishing Germany for their complacency and securing a 3-2 victory.

Group B
France win 4-2 against Poland.
The Group B opener between Poland and France saw a strong start from the Polish side, with Niesler scoring the only goal of the first period to give her team a 1–0 advantage.

France responded in the second period through Constant, who levelled the score at 1–1 midway through the period. Despite several attacking attempts from both sides, the deadlock remained unbroken going into the final period.

Early in the third, Angeletti fired France into the lead, and Constant completed her brace to extend the margin. In the closing minute, Laassami made it 4–1 with a well-taken finish. Brochocki pulled one back for Poland almost immediately, but it was too late to spark a comeback. France held on for a deserved 4–2 victory.

Portugal win 12-3 against Türkiye.
Türkiye and Portugal faced off in the second Group B match, with Portugal taking immediate control of the game. First-period goals from Lourenço, Bernardo, and Tim gave the Portuguese side a commanding 3–0 lead.

Just a minute into the second period, Jordan extended the lead with a stunning strike. Türkiye responded quickly with a goal from Lourenço, but Portugal answered back through Léo Martins to maintain a four-goal cushion. An own goal by Portugal and a composed finish from Ege brought Türkiye back into contention at 5–3. However, a late flurry of goals from Bê Martins, Léo Martins, and Pinhal reasserted Portugal’s dominance, closing the period at 8–3.

In the final period, Lourenço and Tim each completed their braces, while Brilhante and Pintado also added their names to the scoresheet. The match ended in a comprehensive 12–3 win for Portugal.

DIVISION – B

Azerbaijan win 5-4 against England in Extra Time.
Day 2 action in Division B opened with a dramatic clash between Azerbaijan and England.  Lawson opened the scoring just two minutes in, followed by a stunning bicycle kick from O’Rourke to give England a 2-0 lead. Azerbaijan responded through Bayram, to reduce the deficit before the end of the first period.

In the third period, Ramil struck again to level the score at 3–3, only for Johnson to restore England’s lead with a spectacular finish. Azerbaijan equalised once more in the final minute, this time through an unfortunate England own goal, sending the game to extra time. There, Sahib sealed the win for Azerbaijan with a decisive bicycle kick, earning them a thrilling 5–4 comeback victory.

Lithuania win 3-0 against Belgium.

The second period saw no change to the scoreline, as Belgium pushed forward but was consistently denied by Lithuania’s solid defensive structure.

In the final period, Lithuania’s captain Plytnikas sealed the win with a composed finish, capping off an assured performance from his side and handing Belgium their second defeat of the tournament.

In the opening minute of the second period, Kostiuk doubled the lead with a spot kick that took a perfect bounce in front of the England goalkeeper and into the net. Kostiuk then added her second goal of the game. Skibyna’s precise strike further extended Ukraine’s advantage, making it 4–0 heading into the final period.

England finally got on the scoresheet in the third period through a composed finish by Miller. But Ukraine sealed the match in style as Kostiuk completed her hat-trick with a low shot tucked into the far-left corner, securing a commanding 5–1 victory for Ukraine.

Group B
