Mikhail Likhachev’s men claimed their fifth continental title with a 3-1 victory over Portugal in Italy and climb back into the world’s top four as a result, while Mario Narciso’s Portuguese side jump back above Iran into second.
Brazil continue to lead the way, having claimed the northern leg of the recent Liga Sudamericana Futbol Playa CONMEBOL in September while southern leg winners Paraguay remain in eighth place.
Spain jump five places to 16th after finishing in fourth at the Euro Beach Soccer League while the UAE remain in the top 10 ahead of their Intercontinental Beach Soccer Cup commitments on home sand in Dubai between October 31st and November 4th.
The Visit Puerto Vallarta Cup is also on the horizon and hosts Mexico will contest it as the highest ranked side, as they remain in 12th, while tournament rivals France and the USA swap places ahead of the event to sit 29th and 30th respectively.
Colombia complete the four-team line-up and sit 46th in the table.
