The defending champions defeated St Lawrence University BSC to retain their title in the Kasanje finale.
Kampala City BSC have officially cemented their status as the dominant force in Ugandan beach soccer, successfully defending their FUFA Beach Soccer League title for the 2025/26 season. The champions secured the trophy in style at the Bamboo Gardens Beach Soccer Arena in Kasanje, capping off a campaign defined by sheer offensive power and tactical consistency.
Semi-finals
Kampala City BSC’s path to the championship was paved with dominance. After finishing top of the regular season standings with 33 points from 14 matches, boasting an impressive record of 11 wins and a staggering 81 goals scored, the club entered the play-offs as clear favourites. Their momentum proved unstoppable in the semi-finals, where they dispatched Mutoola BSC 8-4. That victory was anchored by an explosive six-goal haul from Edweu Godfrey, paired with a brace from Brian Nkuubi. In the second semi-final, St Lawrence University BSC secured their place in the final with a hard-fought 5-3 victory over MUBS BSC, courtesy of a goal from Martin Kikambi and braces from Swaleh Ssimbwa and Paul Lukyamuzi.

Final and third-place play-off
In the title decider, Kampala City BSC faced St Lawrence University BSC, and the champions remained composed under pressure, claiming a 5-2 victory to lift the trophy. Sharif Opuuli and Edweu Godfrey both struck twice, while Ali Hassan added the fifth to seal the win, leaving St Lawrence to settle for second place after goals from Jonathan Kikonyogo and Sharif Lubega. Meanwhile, MUBS BSC secured third place in the league by defeating Mutoola BSC 4-2 in the third-place play-off, fuelled by a brace each from Malik Bingana and Worrick Joe Mbabazi.

The success of Kampala City BSC was reflected in the season’s individual accolades, as the club swept the major honors. Sharif Opuuli was named the Most Valuable Player, while Edweu Godfrey claimed the league’s top scorer award, and Rogers Omedwa was recognised as the Best Goalkeeper. The coaching excellence award was presented to Ali Zzinda of MUBS BSC, and Mengo Hill BSC received the Fair Play Team award. These stars were further honoured in the official Team of the Season, which featured Omedwa, Opuuli, and Godfrey alongside Peter Mukwata of Mutoola BSC and Joseph Ssendi of Buganda Royal Institute BSC.
