Spain and Italy to Battle for European Glory

The stage is set for the decisive matches of the Euro Beach Soccer League 2026 Superfinal, with Spain and Italy set to contest the title, while Denmark and Switzerland face off for third place.

7th/8th Playoff
Portugal win 8-5 against Germany
Portugal and Germany shared four goals in an action-packed opening period, with Schulte and Meier scoring for Germany, while Bê Martins and Brilhante found the net for Portugal to make it 2-2 at the first break.

Leo Martins put Portugal ahead midway through the second period, but Germany responded with three goals. Peterson and Meier, with his second, turned the game around to give Germany the lead heading into the final break.

Portugal came out firing in the third period, scoring four goals through Algavario, Fabio and a double from Leo Martins. Schulte pulled one back for Germany, but Tim’s late strike sealed an 8-5 victory for Portugal.

Belarus win 6-1 against Moldova
The opening period remained goalless, with both Belarus and Moldova struggling to break the deadlock in a tightly contested start.

Ryabko opened the scoring a minute into the second period, but Moldova responded quickly through Besela’s brilliant strike. Belarus regained the lead through Bryshtsel to take a 2-1 advantage into the final break.

Belarus took complete control in the final period, scoring four unanswered goals to secure a dominant 6-1 victory. Ryabko, Chaiskouski, Paitrouski and Bryshtsel all found the net as Belarus finished strongly.

Semifinal
Spain win 8-3 against Denmark
Spain took the lead midway through the opening period through Chiky Ardil and Pablo. Denmark responded with Pilgaard’s late goal to reduce the deficit to 2-1 at the first break.

Suli Batis restored Spain’s two-goal cushion, but Denmark continued to fight as Wegeberg pulled one back. An own goal extended Spain’s advantage to 4-2 heading into the final period.

De Fries reduced the deficit early in the third period, but Spain turned up the heat with four more goals. Kuman, Ramy, Jose Oliver and Joselito all found the net to complete an impressive 8-3 victory.

Italy win 10-4 against Switzerland
Italy opened the scoring through goalkeeper Casapieri, but Switzerland levelled with Ott’s late strike. Sassari restored Italy’s lead just before the first break, making it 2-1.

Italy extended their advantage in the second period with four goals from Giodani, Josep Jr and Sciacca. Switzerland responded through Hodel and Ott, with an own goal also contributing to their tally, but Italy maintained a 6-4 lead at the second break.

Casapieri completed his hat-trick at the restart, while Josep Jr added his second. Bertacca and Reggio also found the net as Italy pulled away to secure a convincing 10-4 victory over Switzerland.
