Italy and Spain Set for Women’s Final

Italy and Spain have booked their places in the final of the Women’s Euro Beach Soccer League Superfinal Viareggio 2026, setting up a highly anticipated battle for the European title. Both sides have impressed throughout the competition and will now meet with the championship trophy on the line.

5th/6th place
Switzerland win 5-3 against Poland
Poland made the perfect start as Świt opened the scoring in the fourth minute. Switzerland responded immediately through Schärer, before Matusiak restored Poland’s lead. Garcia levelled for Switzerland late in the period to make it 2-2 at the first break.

Switzerland took control at the restart, with Bösiger finding the net to put his side ahead for the first time at 3-2. Poland struggled to find an equaliser as Switzerland maintained their advantage through the second period.

Williams and Bösiger extended Switzerland’s lead in the final period. Matusiak added her second for Poland during a late surge, but Switzerland held firm to secure a 5-3 victory.

Semi-finals
Spain win 5-2 against Portugal
Jessi and Andrea Miron scored two unanswered goals to give Spain an early 2-0 advantage. Portugal were yet to find their feet in the game.

Portugal responded immediately after the restart, with Carolina reducing the deficit. Spain restored their two-goal cushion through Pilar, taking a 3-1 lead into the final break.

Constança pulled another goal back for Portugal in the third period, but Spain remained in control. Manau and Andrea Miron, with her second of the match, added two more goals to seal a 5-2 victory.

Italy win 4-1 against Ukraine
Italy opened the scoring through a brilliant finish from Galloni, but Ukraine quickly responded as Klioachenko levelled the contest at 1-1 midway through the first period.

Italy regained control in the second period, with Illiano and Veglio both finding the net as the Italians moved into a 3-1 lead at the second break.

Ukraine struggled to find a way back into the game, while Italy continued to press forward. Vecchione added a fourth in the final period to complete a convincing 4-1 victory for Italy.
