Costa Rica hosts Americas Winners Cup 2026

Puntarenas welcomes the continent’s top beach soccer clubs from 13-19 December

The Americas Winners Cup is set to make history once again as Costa Rica becomes the newest host nation of the competition. The fourth edition of the tournament will bring together the best beach soccer clubs from across the Americas on the sands of Puntarenas from 13 to 19 December 2026.

The event is co-organised by Beach Soccer Worldwide (BSWW), the Municipalidad de Puntarenas, the Federación Costarricense de Fútbol and the Liga Costarricense de Fútbol Playa (Lifupla).

Since its inception, the Americas Winners Cup has established itself as the premier club competition in the pan-american region, showcasing elite talent and providing a unique platform for the continent’s leading teams to compete for continental glory.

BSWW President Joan Cuscó welcomed the tournament’s expansion into a new territory:

“The territorial expansion of this competition is a significant milestone for the Americas Winners Cup. We are delighted to bring the tournament to Costa Rica, a country that has consistently demonstrated a growing passion for beach soccer in recent years. It is exciting to see the best teams and players from across the Pan-American territory, a region so strongly characterised by its passion for beach soccer, come together for the fourth edition of this increasingly remarkable project.”

Stewart Gómez, president of the Liga de Fútbol Playa (Lifupla), stated:

“It has been months of hard work to finally bring an event of this magnitude to Costa Rica. We are extremely grateful to Beach Soccer Worldwide for placing its trust in our league and our country to host this competition.

This tournament is hugely significant for the exposure it will bring to beach soccer, as it will feature some of the finest representatives from across the Americas and the world. It will provide both male and female players with invaluable high-level competitive experience, which will undoubtedly contribute to the continued development and growth of beach soccer in Costa Rica.”
