Isle of Wight and South Coast Beach Soccer crowned UK Super Cup champions!

The 23rd edition of the UK's longest standing beach soccer tournament took place

The UK’s longest standing beach soccer tournament took place in August 2023, as the 23rd edition of the UK Super Cup Championship was hosted on the Isle of Wight, as Isle of Wight captured glory in the men’s competition and the women’s champions were South Coast Beach Soccer, captained by BSWW Ambassador and Euro Winners Cup 2023 winner, Molly Clark.

Men’s tournament
The men’s final saw two local sides battle for glory, as Isle of Wight Beach Soccer defeated their opponents, WKR Santos 6-2. Both sides came into the fixture with a four-match win streak, but IWBSA proved too strong for their Men’s Elite Cup final opponents once again.

Tommy Jackson, Aaron Clarke, Charlie Millward, Josh Younie, James Temple and Reanu Grossett all hit the back of the net for the victors, whilst Jaz Camara scored a brace for the runners-up side.

Women’s tournament
A 3-0 victory for South Coast Beach Soccer against local team, Isle of Wight in the women’s final, added to an extremely successful campaign for England-duo Molly Clark and Katie James, as they claimed their fifth titles of the season.

South Coast Beach Soccer’s goals in the match came courtesy of Katie James, Jess Treeweek and Amber Treeweek, with the champions repeating the scoreline of their semi-final win over Shanklin, as they won their first UK Super Cup championship.
