The competition returns between 9 and 11 of April.
The state-of-the art Arena GNP Seguros is ready to welcome another exciting edition of the Acapulco Beach Soccer Cup, as some of the top ranked teams in the world will compete for glory on Mexican sands between 9 and 11 April in the event jointly organised by Beach Soccer Worldwide and Mundo Imperial.
Preeminent teams like Paraguay and Portugal in the men’s tournament and Brazil and Japan in the women’s competition, will join hosts Mexico and the USA, who both will present their men’s and women’s national teams in a showdown ready to delight fans in Acapulco.
For Joan Cuscó, President of Beach Soccer Worldwide, “Acapulco takes beach soccer to the ultimate state of the art level, as we could see in the first two editions of the Acapulco Beach Soccer Cup. We will set the bar even higher this year, and we are very thankful to Mundo Imperial and the Mexican Football Association (Federación Mexicana de Fútbol – FMF) for continuously supporting the development of our sport.”
Seyed Rezvani, general director of Mundo Imperial had commented: “Following the first two events, we were eager to host another Acapulco Beach Soccer Cup and the fact that three more editions have been confirmed is fantastic news. We are extremely passionate about beach soccer and the growth of the sport in Acapulco and although the 2023 and 2024 editions of the tournament were wonderful, we’re excited to make these next editions even better!”
This will be the third edition of the Acapulco Beach Soccer Cup.
Spain were crowned champions in both the men’s and women’s tournaments in the Acapulco Beach Soccer Cup 2024, with USA victorious in the women’s competition and Colombia triumphant in the men’s trophy in 2023.
