Players and Coaches deliver an unforgettable morning of inclusion and fun with participants
The Euro Beach Soccer League action in Castellammare di Stabia wasn’t just about competition; it also featured a cherished tradition of the Beach Soccer Foundation to deliver a fun-filled beach soccer clinic for Individuals with Down Syndrome to experience the game up close with elite players. This event, held on the morning of Day 2, partnered with Associazione Nazionale Genitori perSone con Autismo (ANGSA) Stabia, a local branch of a respected Italian organization founded in 1985 to advocate for the rights and inclusion of individuals with autism and their families, enhancing the clinic’s impact on the community.
The session was led by members of the Denmark national team coaching staff, including goalkeeper coach Diego Garrido Gomez and assistant Luca Malinconico who guided the young participants with warmth and enthusiasm. Their efforts were supported by several players who volunteered their time and talent to inspire the kids.
Among the standout participants from the beach soccer teams were Leandro Casapieri (Italy), Josep Jr. (Italy), Fabianna Vecchione (Italy), Li Pak Ling (Norway), Amund Haaland Aano (Norway), and others. These players engaged directly with the participants, sharing basic skills, playful drills, and encouraging words that brought joy and confidence. It was an unforgettable experience, with rare opportunity to interact with elite-level athletes on the sand.

Parents, caregivers, and spectators gathered around the Stabia Beach Arena to witness the clinic, many visibly moved by the spirit of inclusion and the joy the game brought to the participants. This beach soccer clinic served as a powerful reminder of sport’s ability to connect people, break down barriers, and foster community, on and off the sand.
