The Swiss striker suffered an injury in mid-September and will require surgery
Switzerland’s number 10, Noel Ott, suffered ligament damage in a match for SC Zofingen on Saturday 12 September.
The striker will need to undergo surgery on his cruciate ligament in Basel on 13 October, where the surgeons will also determine whether Ott needs surgery on his meniscus.
Back in 2014, the year that Ott won the Rising Star award, he suffered ligament damage but did not require surgery.
He may well be out for up to six months, which may be of huge consequence to Angelo Schirinzi’s Swiss side, for whom Noel Ott is one of their brightest stars.
We wish him all the best in his recovery.
