Mexico, Paraguay and Madagascar, the most significant changes in the list, as Brazil gets closer to Russia than ever
The Beach Soccer Worldwide rankings have been updated again, already with all the continental qualifiers finalised, and before the European Beach Soccer League marches on. And, as expected, some very relevant changes have occurred.
One of the most significant moves is the one by Mexico, who after winning the CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championships have gone from the 11th to the 6th place in the Rankings.
Paraguay, after their solid performance in Manta, where they got to the final of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup CONMEBOL Qualifier, following an excellent Copa Suramericana, joins the Top-10, too.
The biggest leap, notwithstanding, is the one by one of the newcomers to the World Cup. Necessarily, after winning the CAF Beach Soccer championships, thus becoming one of the six continental champions of the global stage, Madagascar has climbed from the 55th place in the list to the 19th. Something similar happens with Oman, who earned a lot of points after their brilliant win in the last FIFA Beach Soceer World Cup 2015 – AFC Qualifier held in Doha.
The first five positions remain untouched, with World and Europe Champions Russia still on top of the chart, followed by Brazil, Switzerland, Portugal and Spain. Notwithstanding, the difference between the leaders, Russia, and the second-ranked team, Brazil, is tighter than ever, thanks to the continental trophies won by the Verdeamarela in the last months, including CONMEBOL Qualifiers and Copa Suramericana.
