The Portuguese international is looking forward to finally meet his newborn daughter, but stays focused on the task with Catania BS
Noa Santos, daughter of Portuguese international Jordan Santos and wife Melissa, was born on Sunday, June 22nd, when her father was in Catania taking part in the Euro Winners Cup 2016 with hosts Domusbet Catania Beach Soccer.
“I got to know about Noa’s arrival at the end of our training session,” Jordan explained.
“It was a very emotional moment for me: The combination of a huge happiness, together with the sadness of being far from my family at that moment. The most important, though, is that both mother and daughter were absolutely okay, without any single problem.”
Due to the calendar, Jordan has still not been able to fly back to hometown Leiria and be with his family and he just cannot stop thinking about them.
But, being the great champion that he is, no-one could tell when seeing him in action.
His focus and commitment to his team and his job has been exemplary during the last few days, the midfielder proving one of the best players in the Euro Winners Cup – just another demonstration of his huge professionalism.
After the European club showdown, Jordan had to stay in Catania for one more week, as this weekend the Coppa Italia takes place in the Sicilian resort.
But he will be onboard the first flight home on June 6th to finally embrace his two women: little Noa and wife Melissa, for whom “all efforts are worth doing”.
