CONMEBOL coaching session begins in Colombia

Villavicencio is hosting the workshop as part of the federation’s Evolution Programme.

Twenty-five coaches from the CONMEBOL territory have begun a beach soccer training course in Villavicencio, Colombia, as part of the federation’s ‘Evolution Programme’.

A host of the region’s beach soccer coaches will benefit from the course, which started on Tuesday and runs until Friday and is being led by figures from the senior teams of Argentina and Paraguay.

Argentina’s coach and physical trainer, Francisco Petrasso and Carlos Juares respectively, are in charge alongside Paraguay’s Gustavo ‘Guga’ Zloccowick for the four-day event, which features two days of theory work before two physical days out on the sand.

Bringing the course to a close will be a beach soccer festival for children where all 25 coaches will apply what they have learned for the youngsters attending.

This follows on from the staging of an AFC beach soccer coaching course in Japan earlier this month.
